Night 9

We were out at johns dads for dinner so she went to bed late.

8:30ish - nursed, laid down, cried for a few minutes, I went in twice before she decided to stop fighting it

11pm - up crying, nursed, laid back down, cried and I had to go in so many times. Finally John took over

She was up again shortly after and in our bed for the rest of the night.... See how good I am at following through? :/

You started off so well! There's no shame in saying "I don't want to do this" if you don't, BUT- if you do- you reeeally have to follow through because you are just doing you + Eden a disservice by bringing her into your bed if/when you choose to continue sleep training. It's sending her mixed messages and prolonging the "difficult" early days. Every attempt will get progressively more difficult.

I hope I am not coming across as judgmental- because, I promise you, I'm not! I think you are a fantastic mother and want the best for your kids and your family (and, from what I can see, you are doing an AMAZING job!!!)

Anyways, if you are feeling like you just need some more support, call/text me (or have Eden do so, haha) =P

Thanks! I know this...I am just extremely unmotivated to do anything that involves a good deal of effort in the middle of the night. It helps that I have you to hold me accountable! I may be texting you tonight!

I hear ya! It was SOOO DIFFICULT to keep Leah out of our bed in the early days... to the point where I forced myself to get up, like, FOR THE DAY, when she randomly was wide awake at, like, 5 AM. I struggled with it, but knew that it was important to establish her crib as her sleeping place and nowhere else. Noooooooow, since she is a *good* sleeper anywhere, she sometimes comes into our bed on lazy mornings (for us) but she just plays in there until we decide we are ready to get up (gah, toddlers! Preschoolers even!)

As I type this she is finishing her dinner and singing "I was made for lovin' you baby! You were made for lovin' me!!!!" Hahahaha, she is so funny!

I honestly *welcome* your texts ;o) So text away! =)
